Finals are done = I have a life again
As the title suggests, that's definitely my current state of mind. It feels SOOOO good to be done with finals, and it was really an awesome semester. The only bummer though is that you're like never done. I mean, this was a super successful semester but I have to keep working flippin hard to get into law school, and then once I'm in law school I have to work flippin hard to get a good job after, and then I have to work flippin hard the rest of my life. Wow plan of progression, really? I'd have to say its worth it though.
Other than that I'm just so happy to be coming home tomorrow. Love you guys!

Harding Singers
It's a little hard to see the Soph but she is on the left side - I remember many Lincoln Singer performances here - usually crowded trying to manipulate a large family group thru - this year it was just me watching. Easy to push to a decent place to see:-). The silver lining of solo-ness...

Fit Test and Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
Step one of P90X - Take the Fit Test to determine if you're in shape enough to get in shape with this program. Max and I took it on Wednesday and it didn't give us a heart attack so I guess we passed! We're certainly not rock stars though, holding the wall squat for 1 min and 12 sec has given me a perpetual cramp in my calf muscle that has made me walk like an 80-year old for the last few days but overall it hasn't been bad. I'm excited to see how the actual workouts kick our butt when we start on Monday.
Right now we're watching The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel - possibly one of my favorite movies. Jaipur was my favorite city in India and it makes me so happy to see all the parts of the city that I recognize. Jaipur is a desert city so it's certainly hot but not unbearable and the nights are very clear and cool. It is an old but beautiful city and I felt very comfortable there. It was the city where the female security guards at the airport took us laughing into the bathroom upon our arrival and redid our pathetic attempts at tying our saris, demonstrating the proper way to do it in Hindi of course. It's the place where wild monkeys stole my shoes on a hike to the Sun Temple and where I came to love the sensory overload of India. It's also the place where I saw the very Indian approach to a ferris wheel in this video I attached. Enjoy. :)

Divine Comedic Miracle
Yesterday Sam and I went to see Divine Comedy after my choir concert. I was told that there was "no admittance after 15 minutes into the show" (which started at 21:00). Considering that my concert was expected to END at a quarter past, I was somewhat rushed throughout the evening.
Well, the concert ended promptly at 21:05, which meant that I had my coat and bag in hand by 21:10.
By the time i was exiting the HFAC, it was 21:13.
At this point I was running over to the JSB from the HFAC, hurriedly Attempting to make it in time.
I entered the JSB at 21:16 and saw that the length of the line would give me some extra time.
I used this time to quickly relieve myself, then rushed back out at 21:17 to find Sam somewhere in the mess of people.
I didn't.
Sam was hidden somewhere in there, and he was doing a mighty fine job of it. I Did, however; find Max and Corey at 21:18 waiting in line.
I hopped in line with them and reached into my pocket to get my- and alas, my tickets were gone. I retraced my steps in a nanosecond, but all I could imagine was the tickets jumping out of my pocket as I made the mad dash to the JSB.
As I scavenged through my pockets: pants- front, back, shirt, suit jacket- right breast, left, outside left, right, inside lower, upper, coin pocket, suit coat- glove pocket right, left, inside breast pockets, inside lower pockets; it came to my attention that I had a lot of pockets.
However, the tickets were nowhere to be found. It was at this very moment that 'Mr. Invisible' decided to make his appearance.
Sam: "Do you have the tickets?"
Jack: "No. I think we can't go."
Max: " Are y-"
Random Passerby: "Did you say you need tickets? Here."
Jack: "Pardon?"
Fateful Passerby: "You can have these tickets."
Jack: "Thanks. Thank you so much."
At this point we had reached the doors. At the time the tickets were placed in my hand, before i even had time to close my hand around them, there was literally no other person between us and the crew taking tickets.
Max: "That was amazing."
Jack: "Yeah."
Max: "No, like seriously- that was a miracle. You had better write that down in your journal tonight."
Jack: "Definitely."
So, this is my journal entry. It was amazing, there is no doubt of that. Had any part of that night changed in the least I may have never passed those people- thereby missing the heaven-sent tickets and thereby the performance.
And, that's pretty cool.
