Trying to persevere

It is important to let you all know that 10 days ago Mom went car shopping with me on a Saturday afternoon.  I definitely had the manual transmission convertible bug as you are all well aware.  I had the bug prior to San Diego, but after a week with Sam it was fully in my blood stream.

At the point when we went car shopping together I had already driven a half dozen  Porsche Boxters and a Mercedes SLK.  I was ready to take action but was really trying to be "practical."  Mom and I drove a 2010 Audi A6, a 2012 Audi A6 and a 2005 Porsche Boxster.  Following the test drives I made the decision that I really liked the A6 and wanted to wait for the right deal on a 2012.

That lasted a week...  After not hearing from Gary at Audi over the last week, I started getting the itch again to get a "tweener" car for the summer.  This was exacerbated by receiving a voice maiI from Max that I should get a manual transmission car.  He didn't know it but he was feeding the beast!  I went to drive a 2001 Mercedes SLK tonight - a very cool car with a hardtop convertible.

So while I am trying to keep "the beast" at bay and the itch from itching, let me know what you all think about the attached two cars.  Your vote does count...

I love you all,
Dad

  1. Do not feed the beast. The Audi A6 is an amazing car. Patience is a virtue.

  2. The red one is beautiful. Definitely the red one.

  3. Unless the silver one has a manual transmission and the red one doesn't. Then definitely the silver one.
